Commissioned by the Pond Road Middle School. The text was written by a student in the choir, Shreeya Iyer. The poem was selected by Peter “PJ” Heckman, the choir director out of many student poems for the project and then PJ gave Peter the text to set. The piece was premiered by the choir at Pond Road Middle School with PJ conducting and the composer at the keyboard.
